Understand the importance of trees, the environment, and the various uses of wood.

Outcome 3: Timber Trees

Identify timber trees and understand their uses in Southern and Central Africa, including some indigenous woodlands.

Outcome 4: Deforestation Impact

Understand the relationship between vegetation and land use, the environmental consequences of deforestation, urban problems, and potential solutions.

Understand and manage nursery practices, planting woodlots, fire management, and wood harvesting.

Implement and understand timber preparation and the paper-making process.
